Okay, good, I have explained why cutting sugar is crucial. Now, let me tell you about my own experience and how I did that.
I was a sweet tooth and have always been. Because of everything I read about it and because I realized how fooled I was by the food industry, I said to myself : let's see if I am a sugar addict and how I can live without it. I started to spot everywhere it was hidden. I discovered that it is everywhere, even where I would not suspect (salad dressings for instance, fake balsamic vinegar, pickles, mayonnaise and so on). So I cut on all this and ordered my salads with no dressing in restaurants. Then I decided to make my own granola, my own baguettes, my own fruit purees and of course my own dressings. At the same time I have increased my intake of good fats.
And the result is : better sleep, equal energy along the day, no mood shifts and enjoying flavors of food much more ! I have the impression that I am more free because I can enjoy something sweet every once in a while, but I do not crave for sweets anymore.
